What to Expect During Your First Visit?
To help make your first appointment smooth and efficient, we kindly ask you to bring the following information with you when visiting Mainline Dental Arts:
- Any referral documents and dental X-rays provided by your referring dentist.
- A complete list of medications you are currently taking. Patient registration and medical history forms may also be completed in advance through our website.
- Your dental insurance information, including insurance cards or relevant forms, if applicable.
- A valid driver’s license or photo identification for verification purposes.
Please note: Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the consultation visit.
What to Expect During Your Appointment
During your first visit, we will:
Review your complete medical and dental history
Take any necessary digital X-rays
Perform a comprehensive oral examination
Evaluate your teeth, gums, and bite
Screen for oral cancer
Assess overall oral health and discuss any findings
If you have any existing medical conditions or health concerns, please inform our office before your appointment. This includes conditions such as artificial heart valves or joint replacements, heart conditions requiring pre-medication, diabetes, high blood pressure, or any other significant medical history.
During your first visit, our dental team will conduct a comprehensive review of your medical and dental history, followed by a detailed examination. This evaluation may include checking for bone loss, loose teeth, bite alignment, signs of periodontal disease, TMJ concerns, and an oral cancer screening to ensure a complete understanding of your oral health.
